About the Teacher Online Application
Applicants are now able to apply for Teacher, School Librarian, and School Counselor positions via the Hawaii Department of Education’s Online Application.
There are 10 steps to complete and submit your online application for a Teacher, School Librarian, or School Counselor position.

Important information regarding our policies and application process
- Step 2 - Personal Info:
Name, Address, Phone Number, Last 4 digits of SSN (not required for current DOE employees), Email Address, Availability Date, and Application Source
- Step 3 - Job Preferences:
Full/Half Time, Grade Levels, Recruitment Locations, and Subject Areas Willing to Teach
- Step 4 - Qualifications:
Degrees, Licenses/Certificates, Student Teaching/Internship/Practicum Events, and Other Credits/Coursework
- Step 5 - Work Experience:
Professional Teaching Experience, Active Military Experience, and Other Work Experience
- Step 6 - Questions:
Responses to all questions are required
- Step 7 - References:
Reference contact information from supervisors and/or administrators
- Step 8 - Documents:
Electronically attach License/Certificate, Praxis Score Report, Other, Resume, and/or Unofficial Transcripts files
- Step 9 - Application Review:
Review and edit application information, as applicable
- Step 10 - Complete Application:
EEOC Recordkeeping Regulation and Certification of Applicant
