Online HSA Field Testing
Feb. 16 to May 26, 2010

Transcript:

Under the Federal No Child Left Behind law, all states are required to annually measure the academic proficiency of its students. In Hawaii our public schools administer the Hawaii State Assessment also known as the HSA.

I have exciting news. From February 16 to May 26, 2010 the Department of Education will begin online HSA field testing.

The field tests are crucial as the Department will officially move from paper and pencil tests to online HSA testing in school year 2010-2011. Online testing will provide teachers, parents, and students with instant score reports. Schools will no longer need to adjust their bell schedules nor track test booklets.

For more information, read our online HSA testing brochure and visit www.alohahsa.org and please watch a special ViewPoints show about the Hawaii State Assessment on channel 56, Wednesday, January 13, at 2:30 p.m.

Mahalo for your commitment to Hawaii's public schools.
