Superintendent's Message
Furlough Day
October 23, 2009

Transcript:

On October 20 the Hawaii Government Employees Association ratified a two-year contract with the State of Hawaii.

This means that HGEA employees along with teachers and students will not report to work and school on furlough Fridays. So don't forget, there is no school on October 23rd for students.

Furloughs will require all of us to work together as a community in the best interests of Hawaii's keiki. We invite you to visit our web site at hawaiidoe.org for furlough information.

Mahalo for your continued support of Hawaii's public schools and students.
