Tsuruda’s passion as an educator extends far beyond the Language Arts State Standards of the courses she teaches at Mililani High School. So, it is only fitting that this 16-year veteran of Hawaii’s public school system be selected as Hawaii’s 2009 Milken Educator Award recipient

NAEP 2009 Math - Hawaii Students Continue to Show Gains ... approximately 2,800 fourth
graders from 140 of Hawaii’s elementary schools and approximately 2,900 from all 72 of the Hawaii’s public and public charter schools with grade 8 students took the NAEP known as "The Nation’s Report Card." NAEP results for reading and science will be released next year. (091014)

DOE seeks waiver ... If granted, the waiver will provide Hawaii with
