What is a Concussion? Definition: head injury with a temporary loss of brain function, concussion can cause a variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional symptoms. Concussion may be caused by a blow to the head, or by acceleration forces without a direct impact. Symptoms... difficulty thinking clearly, feeling slowed , difficulty concentrating, difficulty remembering new information, headache, nausea or vomiting (early on), balance problems, dizzyness, fuzzy or blurry vision, feeling tired, having no energy, sensitivity to light or noise, irritibility, sadness, heightened emotions (more emotional), nervousness or anxiety, sleeping more than usual, sleeping less than usual, trouble falling asleep
